On May 19th 2010 the annual user group conference of the CA Plex/2E user group D-A-CH took place in Darmstadt/Germany. On the next day, May 20th, the user group conference in Italy took place in Milano.

CM first was presenting on both conferences how MatchPoint SCM is using the new Plex 6.1 API's and shows how those Add-Ins can now be called directly from the model object browser. Check in and check out of model objects can now be performed directly from the object browser, as well as displaying the update history of a model object and the usage of objects in change requests. The integration of CA Plex and MatchPoint provides great software change management features for any CA Plex development environment.

Automated migration of IBM System i applications (CA2E, RPG, Cobol)

CM First and ADC Austin are offering a tool assisted migration of your IBM System i application. The methodology M3 (Model base modernization methodology) reduces migration time and risks by minimalizing the manual steps of the migration process.

CM First analyses with you your application and system environment and plans the steps to take for a software modernization. CA 2E models can be transformed in a tool assisted process via XML into a CA Plex model. Once in CA Plex, the application can be generated as a C++, C#, Java, RPG or RIA-Application.
